How Diet Affects Behaviour

Many behavioural issues are linked to diet and dramatic effects can be noted when switching to a diet free of additives and preservatives. 

If you are feeding brands like pedigree or other tinned cans, have a look at the ingredients! It's the equivalent of feeding your child numerous packs of skittles and expecting them to maintain appropriate behaviour under the influence of E-numbers. 

Foods to try are those with a majority percentage of meat content, not meat derivatives! Low carbohydrate, higher protein if your pet is clinically well.

For pets suffering from any condition, prescription food can definitely help but it is not the only option. Consult your local holistic veterinarian for more advice.
